One of the things I don’t write about enough on this blog is my love for all things social media. Interestingly enough, it was starting my blog back in 2006 that helped pique my interest in social media. Fast forward to the present and I now wear many hats under the communications spectrum, corporate/consumer PR professional, social media manager, community manager, content manager and blogger.

In addition to speaking at conferences throughout the year, I also get the opportunity to share my opinions on a variety of social media topics. So, when my friend Baochi Nguyen, who does an amazing job leading social strategy and community management for Boingo Wireless, asked for my definition of the passion you need to have as a community manager for the Social Axcess blog, I jumped at the chance.

Whether you’re a PR or social media professional, or a consumer that’s engaged with a company on a social media site, I think you’ll appreciate Baochi’s blog entry. Oh, and let me know if you agree with my feedback, I’m lucky number seven!

Through the conference, I was able to meet and re-connect with some amazing people from the Boston Celtics, Definition 6, Intel, NCAA, Mercedes-Benz, Panera Bread, Seven for All Mankind, Silk/White Wave Foods, and many more.
