While I have walked by Intimacy in Boston’s Copley Place Mall many times, I had never been inside, until now. Invited as part of a media day, I had the opportunity to learn about how bra fit styling differentiates Intimacy from other lingerie shops.
Back Bay
Despite having a blog called “The SavvyBostonian,” it’s rare that I’m actually in Boston for July 4th. For six years, I went to a friend’s place up in Conway, New Hampshire and then last year I was galavanting around London. And yes, I do see the irony of being in London on July 4th. This year, all of that changed. With vacation time allocated to other trips, I found myself celebrating July 4th in Boston and then back to work the next day.
Holed up in my apartment all day working on a big project (more on that later!), I almost didn’t go out to celebrate. Luckily, at the last minute a friend called with an opportunity to come up on an incredible roof deck just steps from where I live. Let’s just say that it doesn’t get any better than a glass of sparking rose, good friends, a great view and live streaming the Boston Pops on someone’s iPhone w/ speakers while the fireworks went on. Check out my two videos from the event – originally shared via my savvybostonian Vine account – to see them for yourself!
I’m currently in the middle of what’s inarguably the busiest time in my life. So much to do and so little time, but it’s all for a very good reason (more on that in the coming weeks!). So, while many flee the city for Memorial Day Weekend, I hunkered down at home to work on my latest project. But, as the old adage goes – all work and no play makes The SavvyBostonian a dull girl, so I did enjoy a few simple delights over the weekend. From strolls, to a bit of shopping and cooking, here are a few highlights from a relaxed Memorial Day Weekend.
On the Town: The Rosoff Awards, Harvard Gardens & Restoration Hardware
Ah, what a week. Busier than most, it was filled with fun events, brunches, exploring Boston, and more. From speaking at the PRSA Boston social media conference, to seeing Mayor Menino speak at the Rosoff Awards, a fantastic brunch with a good friend and exploring the new Restoration Hardware store, here are a few highlights.
Statement cuff bracelets are a fantastic way to perk up your wardrobe. Whether it’s a pop of color, or a dash of sparkle, I always find myself turning to accessories to dress up a more classic outfit. As a result, I couldn’t resist this sparkly Moroccan-inspired Beaded Pave Metal Stretch Bracelet from LOFT. A great mix of gems and beads, it appeals to my inner magpie while offering an exotic element to my jewelry collection. As someone with a very small wrist, the stretch bracelet also fits perfectly, which is fantastic because so many non-stretch bangle bracelets and cuffs do not.
Spotted in an email from LOFT, I purchased this bracelet during a recent 40% off sale (score!) at their recently remodeled location inside Boston’s Prudential Center, but it is also available online at the full price of $34.50.
