Ah, Paris. Always a good idea, especially when it’s the setting for an epic girls weekend. Between the warm weather, incredible food, sightseeing and a few surprise encounters, the magic of Paris made this trip memorable. Here are my tips and recommendations on how to spend a girls weekend in Paris.
TRAVEL
It’s always interesting returning to a place that you lived in for 13 years. No longer a resident, but not quite a tourist, I’ll always have a special place in my heart for a Boston and a desire to visit a few times annually. Here are highlights from my weekend back in Beantown.
The Arrival I took a daytime flight from Virgin Atlantic. As I settled into my seat, it was one of those amazing traveler moments where I had a row of three seats all to myself. Oh, and as we took off, the crew announced that we also had in-flight wi-fi (for a fee). A brilliant flight on so many levels, thank you Virgin Atlantic!
In preparation for my 2015 move to London, I hopped over for a few days in December. While London may not seem like a typical travel destination in December, I’ve been fortunate enough to be over around my annual LeWeb Paris trip for a few years in a row and can tell you that it’s delightful. There’s just something about the Christmas holiday that results in an incredible amount of festive decor and activities, from markets, to teas and grand trees in well-known squares.
Here are some highlights from my visit:
Christmas Tea At The Ritz
One of the highlights of this visit came when a friend asked if I would join an awesome group of women in tech for Christmas Tea at The Ritz. While it wasn’t something I had planned in advance, I was beyond happy that I had appropriate attire – e.g a dress. Take a look at the gorgeous interior and decor and you will see why.
