**I wrote this post on the evening of April 15, 2013. It only seems fitting that I re-post today on the one-year anniversary of the Boston Marathon Tragedy. Join me today in taking some time to pause and reflect on the Boston Marathon tragedy and all those affected.**

As someone who has lived in the Boston-area and blogged about Boston for many years, my heart goes out to everyone impacted by today’s tragedy. I am incredibly sad to see the Boston Marathon and my beloved city subject to such a horrific incident. While I have no doubt that Boston will come back stronger than ever, our city and Marathon will still be forever changed.

Cocktail: Beehive Julep

IMG_0137Although this cocktail is no longer on the menu at The Beehive, I’m going to let you in on a little secret. You can still order it! Called the Beehive Julep, it contains with rum, clementine liqueur, OJ, muddled mint, orange, and limes and ice. The end result is slightly sweet, refreshing and a touch tart. It’s been a favorite for years.

On The Town: Brunchin’ With Dad at Cinquecento

IMG_0136A recent brunch with my Father reminded me just how much I adore Cinquecento – even if I have a hard time pronouncing this delicious restaurant’s name. From it’s Italian brunch entrees, to friendly staff and gorgeous interior, our meal out was a great reminder to try Cinquecento for more than just dinner or drinks.

IMG_5010I know what you’re thinking….more snow!? I’m right there with you. This winter has been anything but pleasant for yours truly. After so many years of braving Boston winters, I consider myself fairly patient (thanks to wearing by North Face down coat + snow boots at all times), but this winter has been tough. If there’s a silver lining, it’s this photo of the Back Bay. At least the city looks beautiful in the snow. Fingers crossed that this will be our last snowstorm!
