New on My London Guide: 5 Places You’ll Love

Cheese Belts, Pizza Perfection & Cocktail Escapism

From a conveyor belt dedicated entirely to cheese (yes, really) to Italian spots worth traveling across the city for, these updates to my London Guide lean deliciously indulgent. Add in a standout Turkish restaurant just off Carnaby Street and one of London’s most reliably fun cocktail bars, and you’ve got five more reasons to keep eating and drinking your way around the city.

Pick & Cheese – A Cheese Lover’s Dream on a Conveyor Belt

If Willy Wonka designed a restaurant for cheese lovers, it might look a lot like Pick & Cheese. Located in Seven Dials, this playful spot serves British cheeses via a conveyor belt, each plate arriving labelled with tasting notes and pairing suggestions. It’s interactive, surprisingly educational, and dangerously easy to over-order “just one more.” Equal parts novelty and genuinely great food, it’s perfect for a fun night out—or a very joyful solo cheese adventure.

Pick & Cheese is located at Seven Dials Market, London. For more information, visit https://www.pickandcheese.com/

Apulia – Excellent Pizza, Proper Italian Comfort

Apulia is one of those places that quietly gets everything right. The pizza is excellent—light, flavorful, and generously topped—but it’s the broader menu that really shines. This is Italian food done with confidence and care, the kind of spot you want bookmarked for repeat visits. A great option in Farringdon when you want something comforting but genuinely well executed.

Bonnane Restaurant – A Surprise Italian Standout Near ExCeL

If you’re anywhere near the ExCeL Centre and craving good food (not conference catering), Bonnane is a brilliant find. Serving excellent Italian dishes with warmth and generosity, it’s the kind of restaurant that feels like a small reward at the end of a long day. Proof that great Italian food isn’t confined to central London hotspots.

Zahter – Bold, Beautiful Turkish Flavours

Just off Carnaby Street, Zahter delivers vibrant Turkish dishes that are rich, satisfying, and full of flavor. From perfectly grilled meats to fresh, generous mezze, everything feels thoughtfully prepared and designed to be shared. It’s lively without being chaotic and makes for an ideal pre- or post-shopping dinner when you want something a bit special.

Mr Fogg’s Gin Parlour – Always a Good Idea

I visited the Carnaby Street Mr Fogg’s on this outing, but honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of their locations. Each location is themed and decorated differently but all are pure escapism—beautifully themed, impeccably curated, and consistently fun. Whether you’re in the mood for gin, cocktails, or just soaking up the atmosphere, Mr Fogg’s is one of those dependable London go-tos that never disappoints.
