BEAUTY, FAB FINDS

Celebrating My September Beauty and Skincare Empties: Tried, Tested, and Worth the Hype

September has come and gone, and it’s time to showcase the skincare and beauty products that have earned their spot in my routine. From practical micellar waters to indulgent body scrubs and rejuvenating eye patches, here’s a quick rundown of what’s empty and why they’re worth a mention.

I’ve created a blog post below describing each item and what I liked or disliked about it, with links to each product. However, if you prefer to watch videos, you can also check out the same content on my YouTube channel.

Dove Body Scrub Crushed Macadamia & Rice Milk

This Dove body scrub deserves a nod for its dual-action formula. Crushed macadamia nuts exfoliate gently, while rice milk leaves skin feeling incredibly soft. I use this a few times per week, paired with my favorite Dove body wash and often get compliments on how soft my skin feels. A great affordable find!

Where to purchase:

Garnier Micellar Water

Garnier Micellar Water makes makeup removal a breeze. It effectively removes dirt and makeup, leaving your skin refreshed and clean. No wonder it’s been a long time staple in my skincare routine. I typically do a first cleanse and then go in with the Garnier Micellar after to ensure all of my makeup is removed. My skin has been great since adopting this approach and I very rarely get breakouts!

Where to purchase:

Batiste Dry Shampoo Tropical

I am so happy to have discovered Batiste dry shampoo! As I color my hair, I do not wash it every day and like how dry shampoo absorbs excess oil and adds volume. My personal preference is for the tropical scent, but the brand has SO many options.

Where to purchase:

Ted Baker Hand Cream and Body Lotion

A friend gave me a Ted Baker gift set for my birthday and it has been a joy to try out the brand’s hand cream and body lotion. It’s such a great idea for a birthday or Christmas gift!

Where to purchase:

Darphin Ideal Resource Micro-Refining Smoothing Fluid

Darphin’s Ideal Resource Micro-Refining Smoothing Fluid has quickly become one of my favorite skincare staples because it works wonders on my skin. I use this as a serum but if you have combination skin, you could use this as a moisturizer. It keeps my texture at bay, hydrates and and leaves my skin looking radiant. A must-have for those seeking smoother, more luminous skin.

Where to purchase:

Pixi FortifEYE Firming Eye Patches

I’ve been loving hydrating under eye patches as part of my morning routine this year. I can recommend Pixi’s Firming Eye Patches, which provided a quick pick-me-up for tired eyes. They left my under-eye area looking refreshed and awake. I would also recommend these as a nice gift for someone in your life who can use a little extra pampering.

Where to purchase:

Caudalie Vinoperfect Concentrated Brightening Glycolic Essence

I had mixed reviews on Caudalie’s Glycolic Essence. I think the issue could be two-fold: I don’t feel a strong need for a toner in my skincare regime and I am not a big fan of glycolic acid. However, as I got this as a free gift with purchase, I wanted to try it and see if it helped to brighten my complexion. For those who love glycolic acid products, I think this could be a nice step in your routine as it exfoliates gently and evens out skin tone.

I hope you enjoyed my September skincare and beauty product empties. I would love to hear your feedback – do you use any of these products or have others that I should try? Leave a comment and let me know!
