Confession: The Black Friday & Cyber Monday sales led me to H&M’s website…and then I fell in love with everything! Check out what I scored for £200 across some chic tops and dresses. The most expensive item was £39.99…which is crazy, given how awesome some of these pieces are!
Here’s what I ordered, plus the verdict of each. For more in-depth verdict, plus to see my try all of them on, scroll down to the YouTube video at the end of this post!
Dark green v-neck strappy top, Size UK 8 / US 4:
https://www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.0631059003.html
Verdict: A no for me. The pattern and color is super cute, but the fit doesn’t do much for my body type.
Black long-sleeve lace top, Size S:
https://www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.0679724001.html
Verdict: A yes for me! A comfy yet chic top. Perfect for those nights when you cannot fathom squeezing into anything.
Powder Pink Satin strappy top with lace, Size UK 8 / US 4:
https://www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.0513373004.html
Verdict: Yessss! It’s a color I do not have and the best fit of all the cami tops in this haul. I also want the red one now.
Dark green satin strappy top, Size UK 8 / US 4:
https://www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.0643985003.html
Verdict: A no for me. The fit was not flattering and the lace quality on the bust has an awkward seam (see my YouTube video at end).
Black blouse with smocking, Size UK 8 / US 4:
https://www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.0724244001.html
Verdict: A no for me. I feel like a pirate in this top…haha…yes, really! It’s also a cotton-y material vs. a blousy material. I did not read the website listing properly on this one.
Black sequined strappy top, Size UK 8 / US 4:
https://www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.0678987001.html
Verdict: A yes for me! Fits really well on me, but I am short-waisted and it’s not very long so FYI. An inexpensive way to sneak sequins into your wardrobe for the festive season.
Burgundy satin top, Size UK 8 / US 4:
https://www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.0618800006.html
Verdict: A no for me…I really wanted to like this one, but the lace detail around the bust and armpits is awkward. It might not be a deal-breaker for everyone though (see my YouTube video!)
Black V-neck blouse with lace Size UK 8 / US 4:
https://www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.0682465001.html
Verdict: This one is cute and comfy, but I don’t really need it. I have a bunch of other black tops in my wardrobe.
Light gray/blue (says turquoise on H&M site haha) dress with sparkly stones on cuff – Size UK 8 / US 4:
https://www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.0663567004.html
Verdict: Yes yes yes! Chic and comfy, the perfect affordable dress for work.
Red jacquard-weave wrap dress, Size UK 8 / US 4:
https://www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.0712180001.html
Verdict: YES! Caps for excitement. I feel like the red dress emoji girl, but this wrap dress fits like it was made for my body.
Dark burgundy lace dress, Size S:
https://www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.0523642010.html
Verdict: Yes!! Love this dress too. I cannot believe how inexpensive it is in comparison to how beautiful it looks on.
Dark green short lace dress, Size UK 8 / US 4:
https://www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.0693584003.html
Verdict: The fit is great, but the bottom half of the dress felt a bit sheer between my legs, so I chickened out on keeping this one.
