During a recent stroll through Copley Place, I noticed heads turning and camera phones pointed in the direction of Louis Vuitton’s store. Was there a celebrity shopping? Or, a new swoon-worthy handbag? Interestingly, people were stopping in their tracks to marvel over the luxury retailer’s vibrant new windows.
The display is simple, yet colorful, with archery bows transitioning from a vibrant royal purple, to shades of pink and coral, with a ring of canary yellow in the center. In the middle sits a gorgeous white handbag that’s the perfect accessory for spring.
While it’s interesting that a posh archery inspired display is debuting just as the Hunger Games movie (which prominently features archery, albeit in a more grim way) is booming in popularity, I doubt the two are related. Instead, I’m sure the display’s goal is more literal: shining a bulls-eye like spotlight on a haute new spring handbag. Regardless, as someone who appreciates the art behind visual merchandising, I’ll give kudos to Louis Vuitton for giving us something to admire in addition to its lovely wares.
Louis Vuitton is located in the Copley Place Mall on the first level.
