I always like to give my parents something slightly personalized with their Christmas presents. Last year, I gave them Crate & Barrel photo ornaments with sentimental family photos inside. This year for Christmas, my mother made my job easy by proactively requesting an, “Upbeat holiday mix CD with cover songs by some, new, hip, artists.” Fair enough.
Instead of doing the work myself, I reached out to GroupieL0ve, a ‘juicy’ Bostonian blogista, and budding music expert, to help me create the perfect holiday music soundtrack. To my delight, GroupieL0ve was up to the challenge, and uncovered some holiday hidden gems that would have taken me awhile to track down. Picks on her ‘Holiday Hotness vol. I’ blog entry include tracks by Colbie Caillat, Kenny Chesney, Sean Kingston, and many more.
The newly created GroupieL0ve blog has quickly become my go-to source for all things about Boston’s local music scene. Written by another savvy local Bostonian, and good friend of mine @Raoooon, she has taken her passion (err obsession) for music and concerts and translated it into something beautiful.
